China – Day 7

12th Jan 2012

This morning we went to see the Xian city wall, an increasable structure originally made from mud, but re-built in stone.

Next we went to the site where they discovered the terracotta warriors and the factory that makes replicas. On our way to the site I was surprised and saddened see stalls selling dog-skin rugs for sale, it seems the Chinese people do not see dogs as we do in other countries, as they do not realise that they can be intelligent, helpful and loyal. Despite the shock of seeing the rugs the sight of the warriors was incredible, there were thousands of them, all of them different like real people.
